Aspen Eighty is a female-founded independent publication dedicated to covering the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) and the women shaping the future of professional softball. We are not affiliated with the AUSL or Athletes Unlimited — we are an independent media outlet committed to giving this sport and these athletes the coverage they deserve.
Our Mission
Professional women’s softball is entering a new era. The AUSL represents the most significant investment in women’s softball in the history of the sport, and Aspen Eighty exists to chronicle every moment of it. From Golden Ticket announcements and draft coverage to in-depth player profiles and game analysis, we cover the league with the depth and seriousness it deserves.
What We Cover
Our coverage spans the full AUSL ecosystem: all six franchises (Carolina Blaze, Chicago Bandits, Oklahoma City Spark, Portland Cascade, Texas Volts, and Utah Talons), the college pipeline feeding the league, coaching and front office moves, and the business side of professional softball. We also track the NCAA careers of top draft prospects and Golden Ticket recipients.
