BLACKSBURG, Va. — Virginia Tech utility player Cori McMillan was selected by the Chicago Bandits as the No. 4 overall pick in the inaugural AUSL College Draft after receiving a golden ticket from Commissioner Kim Ng at The Gobblers awards show.
McMillan rewrote the Virginia Tech and ACC record books during a historic 2025 senior season, becoming the first ACC player ever to hit 30 home runs in a single season with 31 — joining an exclusive group of just 17 athletes in Division I history to reach that mark.
College Career
McMillan began her college career at Radford University before transferring to Virginia Tech after her sophomore season. She went on to set Virginia Tech single-season records in home runs (31), runs scored (75), slugging (1.047), total bases (177), and on-base percentage (.549).
She also holds Virginia Tech career records in batting average (.407), slugging (.963), and on-base percentage (.514).
